ANTÓNIO FÉLIX DA COSTA AND CHRIS HARRIS TO RACE CLASSIC JAGUAR MK2 AT GOODWOOD REVIVAL

16 September 2026

Jaguar TCS Racing driver António Félix da Costa will team up with automotive presenter Chris Harris to race a Jaguar Mk2, prepared by the team at Jaguar Classic Works, at this year’s Goodwood Revival. The duo will compete in the two‑part St Mary’s Trophy, one of the event’s most anticipated races.

  • Jaguar TCS Racing driver António Félix da Costa and automotive journalist and presenter Chris Harris will team up to race a 1963 Jaguar Mk2 at this year’s Goodwood Revival.
  • The pairing brings together World‑Championship‑winning Formula E talent – fresh from Jaguar TCS Racing’s 2026 Teams’ World Championship victory – and one of the world’s most recognisable automotive voices to celebrate Jaguar’s heritage at the renowned Goodwood Motor Circuit.
  • The pairing will race the Jaguar Classic Works prepared Mk2 in the St Mary’s Trophy, one of the Revival’s most anticipated races.
  • Their entry highlights Jaguar’s rich motorsport lineage and is set to be one of the standout stories of the 2026 Goodwood Revival.

The schedule will see da Costa take part in an official practice on Friday morning, before competing in the first part of the St Mary’s Trophy that afternoon. Harris will then drive in practice on Saturday ahead of his race on Sunday. For da Costa, it’s a rare opportunity to step out of Formula E machinery and into a piece of Jaguar history, just weeks after playing a pivotal role in securing the 2026 ABB FIA Formula E Teams’ World Championship for Jaguar TCS Racing. For Harris, it’s an opportunity to compete in a Jaguar he has long admired and in what will be one of the Revival’s most closely fought races.

Their entry celebrates Jaguar’s rich history of innovation through motorsport; from Alpine Rally to World Sportscar Championship success – including seven Le Mans wins – through European Touring Car victory and its most recent Formula E Teams’ World Championship win, the Jaguar name is synonymous with competition.

The pairing brings together World‑Championship‑winning Formula E talent – fresh from Jaguar TCS Racing’s 2026 Teams’ World Championship victory – and one of the world’s most recognisable automotive voices to celebrate Jaguar’s heritage at the renowned Goodwood Motor Circuit.

I’m really looking forward to racing at Goodwood Revival. I’m a massive fan and have watched the event for years, so getting the chance to take part for the first time is something special. I’m no stranger to lining up on the grid, but this will be completely different. The Mk2 is full of character and a significant car in Jaguar’s history. To share the drive with Chris is a real privilege too ‑ I can’t wait to experience Goodwood Revival from behind the wheel.

ANTÓNIO FÉLIX DA COSTA
JAGUAR TCS RACING DRIVER #13

The Mk2 is an iconic Jaguar, so getting the chance to race one at Goodwood Revival in the St Mary’s Trophy is a gift. Doing so alongside António – someone at the very top of modern motorsport – makes it even more exciting. I’m intrigued to see how we both get on!

ABOUT JAGUAR TCS RACING

Jaguar returned to racing in October 2016, becoming the first luxury manufacturer to join the all‑electric ABB FIA Formula E Championship.

Since then, Jaguar TCS Racing has taken more than 20 race victories and over 60 podium finishes in Formula E, and secured the ABB FIA Formula E Teams’ World Championship and Manufacturer’s Trophy in 2024 – Jaguar’s first World Championship win since 1991.  The team repeated that success in Season 12 (2026), winning the Teams’ World Championship again, claiming two of the last three Teams’ titles and firmly established themselves as one of the benchmark teams in Formula E.

Competing in the all‑new GEN3 Evo era, Jaguar TCS Racing debuted its most advanced and efficient Formula E race car – the Jaguar I‑TYPE 7 – and took ten race wins across the Season 11 and 12 campaigns. This is the more victories than any other team in the GEN3 Evo era. Jaguar TCS Racing have also confirmed a long‑term commitment to the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship by signing up to compete in the GEN4 era, which begins in 2026 and runs through Seasons 13‑16. In late 2026, the team will reveal its next GEN4 challenger, the car that will carry Jaguar TCS Racing through to 2030 and into the championship’s next technological chapter.

Jaguar TCS Racing will have a new driver pairing for the 2026/27 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship season. A driver soon to be announced will team up with Season 6 Formula E champion António Félix da Costa for the forthcoming campaign as da Costa enters his second year with the team. The British team will continue to be led by Team Principal Ian James, who also joined in 2025. Ahead of the 2025/26 Teams’ World Championship win, James had also previously overseen two Drivers’ and Teams’ ABB FIA Formula E World Championship victories for the Mercedes‑EQ Formula E Team and led NEOM McLaren to their historic first Formula E win in 2024.

Beyond its all‑electric concept, Formula E is unique in the world of motorsport for its choice of venues. The 2026/27 World Championship will see many events take place on temporary street circuits in the heart of some of the world’s major cities including, São Paulo, Jeddah, Tokyo and Monaco. New additions  Austin, Brands Hatch and Zandvoort join the calendar, with the season finale set to unfold across a double‑header weekend in Tokyo for the first time.

As an official manufacturer team in Formula E, Jaguar TCS Racing designs its own powertrain, which includes the motor generator unit, transmission, inverter, and rear suspension. Jaguar, via its long‑term Formula E technical partner Fortescue Zero, will also supply Envision Racing with its powertrain for the GEN4 era.

To control costs, the carbon fibre chassis and battery are common components and the same for all teams. This allows the focus to be on developing efficient and lightweight electric vehicle powertrains that improve the performance and range of future JLR electric vehicles.

Formula E remains a key priority for JLR and the company’s Reimagine strategy. As the premier all‑electric world championship, Formula E allows the team to test and develop new electric vehicle technologies in a high‑performance environment. It continues to be the test bed for the team’s Race to Innovate mission that will see Race to Road and Road to Race learnings that will help shape Jaguar’s all‑electric future.

Through our Race to Inspire mission, Jaguar TCS Racing are committed to inspiring the future generation by using the race programme to create a positive impact on our planet and the communities in which we race. We aim to inspire through developing and competing in the world’s first net carbon zero championship and supporting and training the next generation of engineers and motorsport professionals.
